Iran: ‘Zionists Developed the Coronavirus’

Having already speculated that the coronavirus is an American-made biological weapon, the Iranian regime took the next natural step over the weekend and claimed the disease was created by “Zionists” who want to start a war with Iran.

The Jerusalem Post noted that Iran’s state-run PressTV “has been pushing antisemitic conspiracies about the coronavirus to distract from the mullah regime’s mishandling of the pandemic.”

The conspiracies are coming straight from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a designated terrorist organization and one of the most powerful forces in Iranian economics, politics, and foreign policy: continued here

Iran: A cleric’s cure for coronavirus becomes butt of jokes in Iran.

Amid anxieties in Iran over the coronavirus outbreak and a flurry of precautions to prevent its spread, a controversial ayatollah has declared a new method to “cure” the virus: applying violet oil to the anus.

Abbas Tabrizian, described by his supporters as “the father of Islamic medicine of Iran,” began focusing on “Islamic medicine” when his wife was diagnosed with cancer. Although doctors had given up hope on her, Tabrizian said he was able to cure her after “a short treatment he devised,” according to a website affiliated with the cleric. The Najaf-born cleric studied at the prestigious seminary in the same city, the website said. continued here

Iran: Hassan Rouhani says USA will bow down to Iran

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani suggested that if a meeting with President Donald Trump were to take place that the United States would have to bow down to Iran and repent from “economic terrorism” against Iran.

“Those who have imposed sanctions on our people, and have carried out economic terrorism – any change in our conduct toward them must start with their repentance,” Rouhani said in a video translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute.

“They must return to their obligations, and change the erroneous path they have chosen. They must act in the service of the world’s interests and security, while maintaining respect for the other. continued here

UK: Despite threats to British shipping, May declines help from US.

Despite clear indications that the Iranian regime intended to target British shipping in the region in retaliation for Gibraltar’s detention of an Iranian tanker accused of transporting crude oil to Syria in defiance of international sanctions, Mrs May is said to have declined “repeated overtures” to establish a British-American security operation, because “it would look like the UK backed Washington’s wider hardline stance on Iran”.

While the Trump administration has pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal and imposed sanctions on the theocratic regime, the United Kingdom has followed along with the EU in trying to keep it on life support — despite the Iranians’ more or less naked belligerence towards them.

“May and [Foreign Secretary Jeremy] Hunt declined an offer the America last week [sic] to join them in a maritime coalition for security in the [Strait of Hormuz]… they wanted to build an international effort,” said a Whitehall source quoted by Sun political editor Harry Cole.

“It’s a major fuck up when it was blindingly obvious we were vulnerable. Weak politics. In light of the threat it was an act of folly, just pathetic,” they added. see Breitbart H/T Geller report

Iran’s president accuses Trump of being ‘mentally retarded’

Iran’s president Hassan Rouhani has branded the White House ‘mentally retarded’ after Donald Trump issued fresh sanctions against the leadership in Tehran.

Rouhani said the move proves that America is lying about wanting to negotiate and only proves that Washington is desperate and running out of options.

Speaking to a session of ministers that was broadcast on TV, Rouhani added that the new sanctions are ‘outrageous and idiotic’ and will fail because Ayatollah Khamenei – one of the main targets – has no foreign assets.

Trump imposed the sanctions Monday after Iran shot down a US spy drone which it claimed violated its airspace last week. America says the drone was in international airspace and the attack was ‘unprovoked’.

Rouhani pointed to sanctions leveled against Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as evidence that Washington is not looking for a discussion.

He said: ‘You sanction the foreign minister simultaneously with a request for talks?’

Rouhani spoke shortly after National Security Advisor John Bolton insisted that Washington had ‘held the door open to real negotiations’ and that ‘in response, Iran’s silence has been deafening.’  continued Daily Mail
